My place to discuss game related stuff, as a gamer and developer.

Titles says it, mostly.

I gather Titans, being described as huge ships which can tackle entire fleets, will be in the vicinity of a starbase's power.

Maybe the starbases will be buffed a bit to have a better chance to stand a Titan mano-a-mano, Can the devs elaborate?

Will it be:

Starbase > Titan

Titan > Starbase

or

Titan < Depends on the upgrades > Starbase ?

Which brings the questions:

Do Titans have jump drives? ( yes probably)

Will Titans have the same upgrade mechanics of starbases, but different upgrades (please yes please please pleaaaaase yes?!?)?

I did not see this. However, I think that all factions would likely develop this kind of capability. Think about it for a moment; the TEC build big, robust, sturdy-hulled ships, that tend to be very rugged and usually multi-purposed. Seeing as how all we have to go on is the game for quite a bit of background, I think it's a testament to TEC (or rather Trade Order) design versatility and durability that converted starliners and bulk freighters can stand toe-to-toe with dedicated warships.

In the case of the Advent, I'd wager that the Advent Transcencia Starbase is mostly Psintegrat controlled; there is likely to be very little crew. As such, it's likely the lowest-massing (and thus easiest-to-move) SB. That's all background-wise, though.

You botch your own saying through the implementation of your naff spelling and grammar skills.

You realize he more or less asked for it.

I never asked for a troll to put in his two cents

the thing to support me on this, is the fact that the vasari base already has an engine.  the other bases are designed to defend a grav well.  they dont need to move their bases.  of course if you want to you would need to develop the tech and it would never be as good as the vasari who would have designed their base for said movement.  in fact for the other two factions i would say you would need to use up an upgrade to make it moveable.  one at the 2700 credit cost.

the vasari on the other hand should get a little faster with experience.

True, but you have this annoying tendency to spout off and make the situation worse.

i think the vasari titan should be able to tow their starbases through a jump.  i am sure that if i was running all the time i wouldnt want to waste that much resources on a starbase and leave it behind.  their bases can already move.  naturally well towing a base niether would be very good at fighting, if they could fight.

This is a better idea than building your starbase in a hostile grav well and upgrading it there, build it in an adjacent neutral well and tow it in, or better yet, use the Marauder to phase link one of your core planets to the enemy homeworld, instant overwhelming firepower from the starbase AND titan wherever you want... I'm switching to Vasari if they do this

Ryat, this is a forum, people are allowed to spout off

I just wander around and say things to see people's reactions, and I only have a couple of people go off at me, how strange.

Anyways, on the current topic, Vasari should be more mobile, but more expensive, making it harder to get to that annoying point where an attack can come from anywhere.

The Advent should have a titan that fills the slots that their current capital ships don't fill. (I don't play Advent, so someone can hopefully fill in the blanks.)

The TEC should have a titan that will march along and steamroll over little ships, but not be as effective at fighting larger things. Hopefully that would supplement their fleet.
